ABOUT THE LINE
The Iowa Interstate Railroad (IAIS) runs from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Chicago, Illinois. This line usually uses 3 cross-arm poles, with two porcelain insulators located at the bottom corner on the bottom cross-arm, along with CD 154s, and CD 152s sometimes. The middle cross-arm usually has only 1-4 glass insulators which are usually CD 155s, and the top cross-arm usually uses various insulator styles along with the occasional bracket. The information listed below will show you what you may find on this line. Glass Insulators
CD 106: 1 Found in clear west of Hancock, Iowa, 2 found in aqua east of Atlantic, Iowa
CD 113: 1 Found in aqua west of Hancock, Iowa, 1 found in clear at the same location
CD 145: many different types found scattered on the line.
CD 147: Many broken pieces found. Council Bluffs, Iowa, other locations.
CD 151: Aqua, Ice, Cornflower Blue versions found in and east of Atlantic, Iowa.
CD 152: Hemingray and Brookfield products found scattered across the line.
CD 154: Whitall Tatums in aqua, Hemingrays in Aqua, Blue, found scattered across the line. Clears can be found at (almost) every pole.
CD 155: Armstrong and Hemingray have been found. Hemingrays can be found at almost every pole.
CD 162: One aqua piece found on pole in Hancock, Iowa.
CD 214: Clear pieces found in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Hancock, Iowa, aqua found near Hancock, Iowa.
CD 216: Many Whitall Tatum variants found between Council Bluffs, Iowa and Des Moines, Iowa.
CD 1049: Many brackets full of CD 1049s found on poles and on the ground.
CD 1071: Broken pieces found in Council Bluffs, Iowa
